This program is designed for teachers of English as a second or other languages who have some experience and training but are looking to further their career within the industry. The role is designed to strengthen teaching performance whilst also developing leadership skills within the industry. The role will combine a day to day teaching position with material preparation, admin and academic management.
This is a full-time position composed of roughly 70% teaching and 30% administrative responsibilities. On completion of the program, the intern will be able to demonstrate a high level of teaching combined with the ability to manage and administrate a commercial education operation.
Continuous training and assessment across all disciplines will be offered and termly evaluations will be conducted by the leadership team. On completion of the program, a comprehensive evaluation will be delivered. The candidate will be able to demonstrate an ability to teach across a range of age groups and language levels and will be confident managing administrative tasks, giving and receiving feedback and delivering training when required.
Native level of English (minimum C1 for non-native speakers.) an externally accredited qualification (CELTA/TEFL and/or degree level or similar.) A flexible approach to working hours and a strong commitment to career development.
To teach a full program of classes and to provide occasional cover as and when required. To learn to manage administrative tasks specific to the business. To prepare and deliver relevant course material. To attend regular training sessions. To produce a short monthly report detailing their progress and to complete a more in-depth project relevant to their role. To design and deliver at least one training session relevant to the business.
This will be a paid, temporary position from September 2019 to June 2020 and will be for up to 40 hours per week. Christmas and Easter holidays and bank holidays will be paid. The exact salary will be based on experience and qualifications and additional performance-based incentives may be offered to the right candidate.
This program is designed for candidates with some experience in office/ business administration who are looking to develop their skill sets and increase experience within the industry.
Ideally suited to students of business or management looking to turn theoretical knowledge into practical experience. A core focus of the role will be on marketing and sales.
In order to successfully develop a functional strategy for these two core disciplines, the initial period of internship will require gaining full knowledge of our sector and our specific operating practices.
This will be primarily a customer-facing role but there will be a variety of back-office tasks allocated to the right candidate. Whilst this is an entry-level position the goal is to help the candidate develop leadership skills which will be invaluable in their future career.
No specific educational requirements although this would not be suitable for someone who has never studied business in some form. A good degree of fluency in both English and Spanish is essential as is familiarity with IT. Any additional languages would be advantageous.
Excellent timekeeping and attendance are a minimum requirement for this role as is the confidence to talk to people and a willingness to be part of a team.
To be the first point of contact for prospective clients, face to face and remotely. To support the leadership team in an administrative capacity and to play an active role in sales and marketing. To attend regular training sessions and to document staff meetings. To design at least two distinct marketing strategies for the sale of new or existing products. The latter is a key part of the role as we are looking to train strategic thinkers and business professionals not administrative assistants.
